"She's a rough diamond". This was the first comment from a music critic after Samantha Maddocks' first live performance with her own songs ten years ago. Since then, she has come a long way.
From entering local and national talent shows, through recording an album, to receiving airplay and playing live on radio and television.
With her endless passion and ambition, Samantha aims to touch the world with her songs. These are characterized by their original musical creativity and poetic lyrics based primarily on her own experiences.
Due to a handicap acquired at birth, Samantha has had to fight to achieve things that many of us take for granted (eg. learning to walk!). Overcoming these obstacles has aroused an amazing strength, perseverance and determination, which is very evident in most of her songs. When asked about her talent, Samantha says she is following her destiny ... "doing what I was placed on this earth to make happen".
There's no doubt we'll be hearing and seeing a lot more from this rising star with her charming personality and energetic, charismatic performances!
